The day when Dumbledore takes Harry from Privet Drive, Harry notices that his hand is all blackened and shrivelled up. But Dumbledore, does not press matters and leaves Harry’s question about his hand, unanswered.

Harry and Dumbledore go to visit an old and retired Hogwarts Professor, Horace Slughorn to persuade him to come back since there is one teacher short. With the help of Harry, Dumbledore persuades Slughorn to take the job and explains that Slughorn always favoured talented and famous students and even had a club for them.

Dumbledore drops Harry at The Burrow where Ron and Hermione are staying and where he will spend the rest of the holidays. Being in the company of Fleur Delacour, Bill’s girlfriend, Harry sleeps in Fred and George’s old bedroom where Hermione earns a black eye with one of the twins joke telescope.

When Harry returns to Hogwarts, he meets Professor Snape and Tonks who seems very miserable and gloomy.

Harry suspects Malfoy to be a Death Eater, after witnessing a scene in Knockturn Alley and everything Malfoy does, seem to raise his suspicions.

After an accident involving Katie Bell nearly killed with touching a package containing a mysterious emerald necklace, Harry suspects Draco and when Draco seems to mysteriously disappear in his Marauder’s Map, Harry is sure that he is up to something and is acting in You-Know-Who’s orders.

When Harry’s best friend, Ron, having drunk mead in Slughorn’s office, Hermione talks about… everything seems to be happening to someone and the person does not seem to care about how many people does it kill on the way and it seems to never reach the supposed-to-be victim, the destination, at all!

My ratings:

Rating: 5 out of 5.

It was lovely and very suspenseful I must say. I loved it. Lucky me I have the whole collection at home! Ha Ha. I can read it a thousand times. Maybe, apart from The Cursed Child, I haven’t seen the 8th book anywhere in any library. And I am 100 percent sure that what Harry smelt in the Amortensia potion along with the treacle tart and broom handle, the flowery thing he smelled at the Burrow was Ginny.😁

Thanks for reading,

Hermione

P.S I was surprised myself to have finished a book of 530 pages in one and a half day.

  1. I do agree with all of the ideas you’ve presented in your post. They’re very convincing and will definitely work. Still, the posts are too short for newbies. Could you please extend them a little from next time? Thanks for the post.

    1. Alright. Thanks very much for your request. I will try to see how I can write longer and more detailed posts next time and improve it. Since it hasn’t been a very long time since I had this blog I am still new and I am still learning the ways of a blog.
Thanks for the feedback and have a good day🙂
